Syntheri Rocks

Syntheri Rocks

Syntheri Rocks is a 300 ft. Huge Monolithic granite structure which is located in the dense Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. The Kaneri River flows along the side of the Rocks. The corners of the Rock cave are Inhabited by numerous birds and honey bees.This place can be reached either by walking through the forest or by th jeep.This is a huge, tall wide and mesmerising limestone Rock formed due to volcanic eruptions zillions of years ago. Which is named after lady ms.cinthera who discovered this place in 20th Century.

Nagoda Backwaters (Sunset Point)

Nagoda backwaters is the reservoir of the Supa Dam. You can enjoy the beautiful view of water, nature and sunset which adds to its beauty. This is on the way to Joida from Dandeli.
It is approx 15Kms from Dandeli town.

SANGAM (MOULANGI)

Moulangi is a small river which joins the river Kali, So it is also called as Sangam(where two rivers meet). This spot has become one of the most popular picnic spots for people in and around Dandeli. You can enjoy beautifull view of nature.It is also the place where the rafting ends.
This spot is located around 8 kms from Dandeli.

Supa Dam

Supa Dam is located in Ganeshgudi. Which is 22 kms from Dandeli town.
It was built across the Kali River by KPCL (Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd). The power house at the foot has 2 generators of fifty megawatts each. The electricity generated is supplied to different parts of karnataka.

Dudhsagar Waterfalls is Located on Goa Karnataka Border.The Name Dhoodh Sagar is a translation of “Sea of Milk”.Springing from from a height of 600m is located on the Goa-Karnataka border. It is located at a distance of 60 km from Panaji and 10 km from Colem Railway Station.
From Dandeli you have to go to Castle-Rock, park your vehicle there and then catch a train to Dudhsagar Station followed by 1km trek to reach the Waterfalls.
Adventure lovers can even take a full trekking from castle rock station to Dudhsagar which is around 12kms trek with beautiful views all the way till the falls. In return you have only 1 tran at 5pm in the evening which takes you back to castle rock station.

Jog Falls is situated on the borders of Shimoga and North Kanara, 100 Kms from Shimoga city.The Western Ghats gives rise to the Sharavati river that plunges from a height of 829 feet in four magnificent cascades namely Raja, Rani, Roarer and Rocket. Jog falls, being the tallest waterfalls in India is situated in the dense evergreen forests.During Monsoons the Jog falls voluminous creating a spectacular sight with rainbows every now and then. One can take a adventurous walk at the bottom of the gorge when the sluice gates of the Linganamakki dam are closed.
